Is The Gypsy King Going To Rule The World?
British boxing is looking rosy once again. Not since the early nineties when we had the likes of Lennox, Big Frank, Chrissy Eubank, Prince Naseem and of course the fantastic ‘Dark Destroyer’ Nigel Benn has the fighting game been in such good shape.
Benn’s son Conor is a very exciting prospect and is currently 13-0; hopefully he’ll be stepping up in class as the year goes on and will challenge for a title. One fighter who wants a piece of him is Harlem Eubank (7-0) the nephew of ‘Simply the Best’. We’d make Conor the short priced favourite but what a fight that would be: Eubank/Benn III.
The heavyweight division is the one that’s really catching the public’s imagination. Tyson Fury has made a miraculous comeback and looks the real deal; his silky skills could see him as the champ of this division for years to come!
Anthony Joshua defeated Andy Ruiz Jr by unanimous decision in their rematch in Saudi Arabia, taking back four heavyweight titles. Anthony Joshua is once more “the guvnor” of the heavyweight division, at least according to Eddie Hearn.
